Flat pile feeder
The automatic feeder handles sheets up to a maximum size of B2 (500 x 700 mm) and is equipped with a self-adjusting sheet separation head and suction drum.
Double card detection
Pepper & Fuchs electronic ultrasonic sensors check each individual sheet as it passes through the system and stop the cycle in case of double sheets.
Parallel Buckle Folder Unit
The envelope unit with two parallel buckles is positioned before the insertion station and optimizes production costs by enabling the line to produce 8-page signatures – as a stop-gap for traditional 4-page signatures.
Station input
Flat sheets (4-page signature production) or folded sheets (8-page signature production) are variably fed before the signatures are carefully aligned and transferred to the cross-knife unit for cross-folding.
Cross folding knife
A brushless motor-driven knife criss-crosses the stacked sheets in a bottom-up motion to complete the signature composition.
Locking system
A high-precision locking system at the top of the sewing saddle ensures that the stitches are perfectly centered on the back signature.
Signature extraction system
The new signature export line is able to control the process of unloading signatures and is therefore particularly suitable for album formats.
Operator interface
A 9-inch touchscreen allows the operator to run the book program and monitor machine operating parameters.
Leaf sequence control
A high-speed Omron camera handles BARCODE or DATA MATRIX information and ensures that a high degree of control is maintained over the sequence of printed sheets.
